Energy Transition: Nigeria Cannot Abandon Fossil Fuel – FG

ABUJA – Chief Timiprye Sylva, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources on Tuesday reiterated that Nigeria cannot abandoned fossil fuel at this time.

This is coming on the backdrop of mounting pressure for countries to deemphasize investments in the development of fossil fuels to to make way for the development of cleaner energy, otherwise christened, net zero.

Independent reports that Net zero simply refers to the efforts being made to achieve cutting greenhouse gas emissions to as close to zero as possible.
