Job brief

We are looking for a Corporate Accountant to prepare financial statements and oversee our budgeting and forecasting. We’ll rely on you to provide advice to support our company’s decision-making.

You should be reliable and good at math, and be able to communicate effectively with senior management and various departments. We also want you to be detail-oriented, and possess sharp business acumen.

  • Analyzing data to support business decision-making
  • Managing financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Overseeing accounting procedures to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Preparing financial accounts for monthly review.
  • Creating a monthly corporate and divisional budget for the company and monitoring expenditures.
  • Analysing company finances to determine risks and create forecast reports.
  • Ensuring all tax records are correct and up to date.
  • Ensuring all company accounts are accurately reconciled daily, weekly, monthly.
  • Maintaining and updating fixed asset records.
  • Managing company cash flow and bank balances daily to ensure that expenditures do not exceed incoming revenues
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports such as tax returns and presentations to investors
  • Negotiate all business dealings and transaction to the profitability of the company.

Responsibilities

Gather financial data and ledgers
Consolidate and analyze financial statements and results
Prepare budgets and monitor expenditures
Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
Manage periodical reporting
Oversee external and internal audits
Analyze finances to determine risks and create forecasts
Advise management on how to craft effective business plans and resolve cost-related issues
Supervise Junior Accountants

Requirements & Skills

Minimum of 5 years’ Experience
Proven experience as a Corporate Accountant
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices
In-depth experience in risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and finance software
An analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
Excellent communication skills with Keen eye for detail
Organizational and leadership skills
BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus, Solid knowledge of accounting software, such as Build Smart, Quick books, Xero, BQE Core, and Odoo.
Ability to manage deadlines and work in a high-pressure environment.
Display exemplary ethical behaviour when working with confidential financial documents.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff members.
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organisational skills.
Ability to maintain good record keeping of all financial documents.
Accurate and precise ability to think mathematically outside the box.
Ability to improvise and generate sales and opportunity to the company for investment and profitability purposes.
